Against Atheism

The purpose of this video is to discourage the practice of Atheism and promote Christianity in favor of the Roman Catholic Church.

Why now?  A number of factors compel the creation of this video.  The irreligious Presidency of Barrack Hussein Obama, the recent death of Christopher Hitchens, the emergence of Sam Harris, the notoriety of youtube personalities particularly Pat Condell and the Amazing Atheist all point to the growing specter of the blight of Atheism.  Why is Atheism a threat to Western Civilization?  To ask that question is to ask why is seppuku a threat to health?  Atheism is a nihilistic suicide cult that promotes immorality, totalitarianism and death.  It can be best summed up by the rejoinder “There is no god and I hate him.”

Is Atheism a religion?  Yes, Atheism is a religion.  Dictionary dot com defines religion as a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.  The second definition reads: a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects.  Under both definitions Atheism qualifies as a religion.  Atheism is the doctrine or belief that there is no God.  It is the disbelief in the existence of a supreme being or beings.  The key words being belief and set of beliefs (doctrine), inherent in the word belief is a leap of faith.

It therefore takes the same amount of faith to believe in God as it does to believe in no-god.   Atheism addresses the cause, nature and purpose of the universe especially when considering the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies for it posits the cause, nature and purpose of the universe is not due to God but to no-god – the negative god.  If you think that contemplating an infinite God is difficult, try contemplating a negative God.

Why is religion important?  The question of religion is so huge that it reverberates throughout all aspects of our life and influences all of our relationships.  Culture describes collectively how we as a people express ourselves and how we relate to each other.   That word comes from the word cult, which again means religion.  Islam describes a slave master relationship between God and humanity.  Christianity invites humanity to the divine family by adoption.  What about Atheists?  They relate to the divine with materialism, cynicism, nihilism, enmity and confusion.  The human condition is such that it must worship something.  Something is always bigger than a human being who is fraught with insecurity, subject to aging, disease and death.  Man must worship something.

So what does the follower in no-god to do?  Where is he to draw upon his inner strength?  Where is he to find his inner man? In a world that lacks of connection, where solipsistic technologies encourage him to build a prison of self, how does the modern man define his happiness in world that is increasingly hostile to him?

The answer?  He worships false gods to augment the by definition unknowable no-god with health, science, the state, art, some false Messiah such as a charismatic politician or musician, something to fill that void.

Atheism is nasty because it does not define what our relationship should be to our fellow man.  Whereas Christianity holds that man is corrupt and in need of salvation and moral instruction, Atheism does not extol such a principles.  In fact, it impeaches all principles because it holds that temporal life is all there is, so it lends itself to an indulgence of hedonism and moral relativity.  Even the pagans recognized this, Marcus Tullius Cicero, a Republican senator of Rome said, that a man of courage is also a man of faith.  If Cicero is right, can an Atheist be brave?

One of the more sinister and more dishonest natures of Atheism is that it precedes a moral decline, violence and national suicide.  For the consequences of such a diabolical adoption, let us walk through a brief history of time.  In the examination of ancient Atheists, one has to consider their historical proximity to the person of Jesus Christ and whether or not their religious beliefs stemmed from skepticism of given orthodoxy or a hatred of God.    The pre-Socratic philosophers fall in the first category; Epicurus and the Sophists fall in the second category.   The Sophists dominated Athenian government in the fifth century.  Consider the playwright Euripides who wrote in  Bellerophon: “Does some one say that there be gods above? There are not; no, there are not. Let no fool, Led by the old false fable, thus deceive you.”

Aristophanes, a satirist, wrote "Shrines! Shrines! Surely you don't believe in the gods. What's your argument? Where's your proof?"  Aristophanes and Euripides supported an Athenian politician named Alcibiades. Alcibiades led his city to war – his city he would later betray because he was immoral.

Consider the Atheism of Denis Diderot – one of the father’s of the French Enlightenment, which influenced the French Revolution whereby Deist Maximilien Robespierre killed 55,000 of his own countrymen before he himself was shot in the mouth and decapitated.  The French revolution brought about the Napoleonic Wars - so much for the Age of Enlightenment.

Let’s not forget the greatest Atheist of the modern era Karl Marx and the Communist Manifesto who influenced the regimes of that have killed over 200 million people the great majority of deaths are their own citizens.  Lenin (9 million killed), Stalin (60 million), Mao Tse Tung (78 million), Adolf Hitler, though a pagan rejected Christianity in favor of Nordic Paganism and National Socialism (75 million), Pol Pot (1.65 million), Kim Il Sung (1.6 million), Fidel Castro (300,000), Ho Chi Minh (200,000), Plutarco Elias Calles in the Cristero War (90,000), 6,832 clerics killed in Spain’s Red Terror during the Spanish Civil War (365,000 total killed), these men and those that followed them rejected Christianity and professed Communism and Atheism.

Let us look at the United Kingdom whose separation from the Catholic Church gave way to a slow asphyxiation of Christianity to a working Atheism now dominate in British society.  Not only is Atheistic Socialism abolishing Britain as Peter Hitchens has documented but England is vulnerable to cooption.  For the Muslim Brotherhood inside the realm seeks to establish Shariah rule from within.

So if you are an Atheist, consider this that your faith does not encourage you to hope, my faith does.  Your faith doesn’t encourage you to forgive, my faith does. Your faith doesn’t encourage you to be merciful, to be generous, to use your imagination, to sacrifice, to limit yourself, to defend and protect others, my faith does. Your faith doesn’t encourage you to love, my faith does.  If there is a God worth worshipping, surely His Name is Love and is Love.

If you are a believer, you must be a witness to your faith.  These Atheists are getting bolder and bolder.  What does it say about you who says nothing as these small encroachments water down and strangle the faith of our fathers?  If you will not say something for fear of offending someone, will you say something when the bayonets are drawn?  When the shame trials commence?  When the executions start?  If you do not show moral courage, you will not show physical courage and you will not teach what you do not have.

I have made the case against Atheism, but what about the case for Christianity?  I would like to echo the words of Saint Peter, who was no doubt befuddled by Christ’s teachings.  So Christ asked Saint Peter, “Do you want to leave?”

Saint Peter replied, “Master, where else should we go?  Who else has the words to Eternal Life?”
